There isn't any official confirmation on this just yet, but word is going around that Google's upcoming version of Android – Honeycomb, will require some serious processing power. The managing director of Korea's Enspert consumer electronics firm was quoted saying that the operating system will require a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor in order to run properly. It was also said that Honeycomb will require a 1,280 x 720 pixel screen resolution but should be able to run on tablets with displays measuring in at least 7-inches. If that's the case, it means that existing Android-powered tablets such as the Galaxy Tab will be unable to upgrade to Android Honeycomb. Hopefully the upcoming CES 2011 will shed some light on this and the requirements won't be too demanding.
