Shift 2 will also borrow one of Hot Pursuit's most popular features, the Autolog. Though it's essentially just an online leaderboard that runs constantly in the background of every race, the Autolog gave players incentive to keep trying to beat the best times of their friends. Putting it into Shift 2 seems like a natural fit, especially with less emphasis on destruction and more on pure racing. Check out our preview for more info.
Shift 2: Unleashed is taking notes from its cops-and-criminals cousin, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, by offering pre-order incentives and bringing back the popular Autolog feature. Pre-orders get the "Limited Edition" of the game, which includes instant access to 40 career events and three cars: the Nissan Silvia spec.R Aero, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV, and the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. Hot Pursuit fans may remember they received similar bonuses.
