It's here! LG's Star phone has been renamed to Optimus 2X for when it hits retail - the phone packs quite a punch in specs and looks pretty awesome to boot.
The LG Optimus 2X boasts a dual-core Tegra 2 processor running at 1GHz - a first for smartphones. It also features a 1080p TV-Out via HDMI and video capture from an 8-megapixel primary camera which is joined with a 1.3-megapixel front camera.
This all fits into a phone that features a 4-inch WVGA display, 8GB of on-board storage (expandable to 32GB microSD), 1, 500mAh battery and runs Android 2.2 - with LG promising Android 2.3 "in due course".
