The long-awaited Final Fantasy XIII took the top "Platinum Prize" at this year's PlayStation Awards, a ceremony that celebrates the best-selling games in Japan on all PlayStation platforms (according to Dengeki Online). The RPG was released last December in Japan, after the cut-off date for the 2009 awards had passed. Only two PS3 titles qualified as second-tier "Gold Prize" winners: Yakuza 4 and Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage. The rest were PSP titles like Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker and God Eater.
