Final Fantasy Agito XIII, the PSP entry in Square Enix's "Fabula Nova Crystallis" lineup, has been in development for something like four years now. Its history hasn't been quite as tumultuous as Final Fantasy Versus XIII's -- it's actually had gameplay footage shown in public, for one. However, there's little doubt that Agito development has been on the back burner for a bit, given that director Hajime Tabata has been busy working on Parasite Eve sequel The 3rd Birthday for the past while. All that may change soon, though, as Tabata felt inclined to remind Famitsu magazine this week that Agito still exists. "Occasionally I talk a little bit about how it's going on The 3rd Birthday's [Japanese] Twitter account," he said, "but development's going along smoothly, and it's going to be a really intense game, the sort where you're using the Fire spell like a gun in a shooter."
