AT&T plays catch up in the mobile hotspot race with the MiFi 2372 from Novatel Wireless, where November 21st will see said device being made available for $49.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. Being a wee bit more advanced compared to the model that you're used to seeing run on US CDMA networks, it wll boast an integrated microSD slot for expansion purposes, and can be shared among connected devices. Not only that, it will also be able to play nice with built-in, browser-based widgets that will take advantage of its AGPS in order to deliver more detailed and accurate information on weather and local search among others. On paper, the unit is capable of maxing out at 7.2Mbps when it comes to downlink, although real world usage would differ greatly from that. AT&T has a plan for everyone with a range of budgets as well, from $35 a month for 200MB plan or $60 a month for 5GB worth of data, including contract-free plans that start from 100MB and going all the way to 1GB.
